Middle School Fall & Spring

Middle School Fall and Spring Seasons offer a coed team for those new to rowing and those who have had some experience. Spring season is about sprints and speed by building on the work of previous seasons. Rowers train for short bursts of high intensity. 

This year we are breaking up into squads to provide more personalized coaching. Squads will meet in smaller groups according to skill and experience. All teams will build a strong foundation in technique, learn the intricacies of equipment handling, and improve overall athleticism in a fun, yet challenging environment.

Spring 2021 starts on TBD. We will be leading a virtual coaching program to teach our athletes the fundamentals of rowing and to grow the strength of those already in the program. Practice Schedule
4 - 6:30 pm, Mondays, Wednesday, Thursdays, & Fridays
Occasional Saturdays scrimmages may be added.

Trip Fees

When ready, experienced Middle Schoolers may travel for competition. We offer home and local scrimmages with neighboring teams to bring in some fun competition.

Holidays/Days Off
We follow the Port Washington Public school calendar. If the students have no school, there will be no rowing practice. Optional practices may be offered. See your team seasonal calendar for details.

Spend the summer on the water! Summer camps are designed as the perfect introduction to the sport for those who want to test the waters. For those who have some experience rowing, summer provides the chance for work in small boats and time to fine tune your skills for fall racing.

Summer camps are offered in consecutive 2 week sessions. Join for one session or bundle several sessions for a great summer experience.

For winter we take it indoors. Our strength and conditioning is divided into two sessions. Rowers can choose session one or two, or choose both at a discounted rate and registration to Gold Coast Classic Indoor Regatta is included.

We train at our winter home at TBD and conditioning sessions are led by coaches who have developed rowing specific protocols so rowers can gain power for the upcoming spring season.
